Immigration part II

A few weeks ago KSL ch,5 did a news story about deporting illegal immigrants. The story centered around a plane used by ICE to take these men (I saw no women) back to their "home" country. One of these men was working at the time he was rounded up and had only two misdemeanors on his record. He came to this country with his mother when he was five years old. This man, who is married and had a child of his own was chained along side hardcore criminals.
I realize that entering the country illegally is a problem, I have stated before that I do not dispute that. Here is the problem.
Right now there is a HUGE drug war raging just across the border, these men that ICE rounded up are flown to Texas with the clothes on there back and what money they can gather. They are told to walk across the border, into a country that most of them know little about. These people may be criminals, but do they deserve death?
Think about it, they are dropped in the middle of a drug war with nothing except money. There is a very real chance that they will be killed.
I found this so horrific i could barely keep from crying. If the state of Utah wants to deport people, take them to a real city in Mexico. You can't just leave people in the desert and walk away. When did we become so barbaric that we would leave another human being at the mercy of both the elements and drug cartels?
There is certainly a better way to deal with this problem than this.
